Islanders facing sudden financial hardship can access support from a new major Isle of Wight Council scheme, launched this spring. The Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) provides fast, practical support when it’s needed most.

Healthwatch Isle of Wight has launched a new public engagement project in partnership with Wessex Cancer Alliance, to better understand the experiences of Island residents affected by cancer.

The project is seeking feedback from people who have been affected by cancer in any way, including patients, carers, family members and supporters. This includes people currently receiving care, those recovering from cancer, individuals who have been through screening, and those who received an all-clear.

Real-time intelligence for services about the issues the public are facing is invaluable.

These reports are shared with local providers and commissioners of services so they can hear where things are working well, and take action when services need improving.
